The desire to do everything we can to protect the environment is perfectly normal, and more and more countries worldwide aim to reduce drastically CO2 emissions, in the years to come. Compared with traditional cars, hybrid cars, and eco-friendly Toyota Prius battery replacements, are presented as an environmentally friendly alternative.

But what does a hybrid car really mean?

A hybrid car is a vehicle that can operate with more than one type of energy. Most often, the term is used for vehicles equipped with both electric and petrol based engines. In the last decade, the demand for such cars has grown, mainly due to the high oil price and the eco trend. Some countries reward hybrid or electric car owners with certain tax exemptions.

Hybrid cars contribute not only to reduce air pollution, by consuming less gas and producing their own energy, but also to reduce noise pollution (they are quieter than traditional cars). These cars are not 100% ecological, because this is still an ideal, but they have at least the merit of reducing CO2 emissions.
